Data indicates that most masks are only 10% effective at preventing transmission of COVID-19. Is that small percentage enough to make it worthwhile for kids to wear masks for hours at school, especially when all scientists and medical professionals agree that children under 18 years of age are not in serious danger from the virus? Some say it is worth the effort, some do not. What do you think? What about kids who have hearing deficiencies and who need to read lips in order to communicate? Masks cause them to be unable to communicate with others.
Does the 10% effectiveness justify the use of face masks?

I would love to discuss this question on efficacy.
If the cure does more damage than the disease, and masks are damaging to the development of children as the data shows, then remove the masks!
Where does the data show it’s only 10% effective? I am seeing data showing much higher effectiveness. And isn’t the scientists and doctors saying that we need to focus on the kids now because they are the ones unvaccinated?
