We do need a recall option. Certain aspects of town government can lead to long lasting consequences that may not be reversible by the regular voting cycle. Some may even be permanent. The data on the ever increasing number of Massachusetts towns that have adopted recall options clearly demonstrate the benefits of this additional tool for government accountability and enhanced control by its constituents.
